1/8" rubber sheeting on floor under carpet?

I'm going to be ripping apart my '01 Screw to install head unit, amps, component speakers, sub, wiring, etc.. in the next few weeks. I have some sound deading material for the doors and I came across a 8'x8' 1/8" sheet of rubber at work. It doesn't have any adhesive on either side.

Since I'll be pulling out the seats and carpet for the stereo install, do you think it might be a decent idea to use that 8x8 sheet of rubber on the floor under the padding? I'd cut in all the seat mounts and such so it couldn't go move around when re-assembled. I suppose I could use some 3M 77 spray adhesive to have it stick also.

Or I could buck up and buy some adhesive Dynamat type stuff for the floor also. I was just thinking that the rubber sheeting might provide better isolation from the road and be one entire piece, and it's free!

Opinions?

The rubber will work, but I would use the "repositioning" 3M spray adhesive, it's 3M 75 reposition adhesive spray, it has a long tack time so you can make the rubber mat fit perfect, you no how it goes when your cutting to fit! If you don't want to use the rubber mat, you can still go cheap and get some roofing mat, the only down side is that it comes in 250 ft rolls for like $70, it's great if you and a few friends are needing some noise block for your rigs.
