I know Parts Express has sheets of plastic. I think the thickest they have is 1/8'th inch, which will work fine.

Just trace your pattern onto the sheet with a pencil, then cut it out with a jigsaw or Dremel like tool. Then drill the holes out for the screws to hold it to the door.

Damn, well you could use wood, thin plywood, like 1/4" and make them, that would work great if you don't see them, or buy a piece of plexi-glass at a local stereo shop. That would work too.

Go to Parts Express, put in part number 265-948.

At Crutchfield, theres a menu on the left side. Click on Accesories. Theres a bunch of options, under Speaker install, click More, once that page loads, click on speaker adapter plates.

I've never seen anything like that at Walmart. If there is a stereo shop around there call them or something and ask if they have any.

Im not sure if the ones from Crutchfield will work. The stock speakers are 5x7 and those are for 6x9's, although you might be able to make them work.

My RE comps are here and will get installed soon, and if I get mine in before you Ill let you know whats involved, but when I looked, I figured Ill have to cut some of the door to make them fit(they are 6.5's too.).

But I dont know anything.

Well, I didnt get a chance to get them in, only my new amp.

If this thread isn't getting too old, but you can get a 12x12" ABS at bestbuy "install" for $4.00.
