I know that the radios from 99 F-150 and 02 F-150 are the same sizing, but with the added space of the 6 disc changer, you may run into space issues, just with the lower back portion of the radio. the best I can suggest is have someone measure their radio, then measure your space, and go from there.

Try this..

I'm totally ignorant on Lightning radios, but I have a 02 S-Crew which had the stock factory radio in it. I was able to install the 6 disk in-dash radio with no problems. Connectors matched and everything. Took about 10 minutes.
If it's the same, you'll need the little U-shaped tools to remove the stock radio. I got them at Advance Auto Parts for about $3.
You might want to try posting this in the Lightning forum as well. I bet those speed freaks could answer any question you have! Good luck.
