any in-dash CB's out there?

I've been seaching the net, and I can't do a search on here for "CB" because of the two letter deal. BUt does anyone know of any cb's that will install in a factory DIN slot? I'm still on a quest to find something to put in my other factory hole rather then just an EQ.

I know that someone has to make a CB that is DIN sized, all black, and possibly has a remote MIC install (instead of front panel).
And the PA feature would be fun too.

I do't know about din sized but uniden makes some small units in their pro line. I removed the ashtray since I have a flow through console and mounted a galaxy dx 979 in it's place. there are several vendors on the web that carry a large assortment of radios. I bought mine through preimere (sp?) electronics. They carry pretty much every brand of CB made.

that sounds interesting. do you have any pictures of your install. I may follow that idea, since I wouldn't use the ashtray anyway. Of course I will have to find something else to still pit in the double din, but oh-well. Maybe just a switch panel for lights and crap.

Don't have one of those either, since we are not allowed camera phones at work for security reasons.

Wal-Globe, Target, Ebay, Pawn shop...neighbor

Disposable Digital cameras might have an input. Check Planet Wal-Mart for the six dollar toy.

Or just go on ebay and look for discontinued models dirt cheap.
(anything 2.0 MP or under you can grab for about 50-90 bucks. And it's worth it

Speaking of Camera's though
How do you post pics: I haven't located it yet for other threads where people want to see what I'm talking about.

Cool

radio shack makes an awesome digital trunking police scanner (model# pro-2096) that is exactly DIN-E size for mounting in the dash. It even comes with a mounting "cage" just like a regular headunit. You can also find cheaper, older (less featured) DIN scanners. THe Pro-2096 picks up CB, police, fire(even most of the new digital trunking systems), ham radio, business, commercial and civil aircraft, and with a simple software mod military aircraft.

Check out the radio shack scanner forums at :

here is a link to the page at radio shack:

here is a pic: (yes, trust me, it also comes with a din cage)
