Question MP3 Folders

I am looking for some advice on how to burn my MP3s.

Is there a way to eliminate the F1 / T1 display?

For instance, instead of F1/T1 -- it would be nice if it read AC/DC (for the folder name) and Hell's Bells (for the track info). As of now, I have maybe 10 folders with 5-8 songs in each, however, I am unable to view actual folder names--just F1 etc..and song names appear after it starts playing.

Thanks

When you rip your disks, the info needs to be tagged to the file. See this thread from a while back.

Hey, that all has to do with the MP3 file. If youre getting them from sites like Napster or Kazaa; mainly p2p sites, there's a good chance it wont be tagged. ( Thats what its called)
I use this site www.mp3search.ru It is phenominal!!! Granted it DOES cost money, but at 10 cents per song, I cant complain. But you have to pay at least 20 bucks at a time..........thats 200 songs. Plus, you can listen to low quality samples of it before you actually purchase the download.
The songs are in pristine condition..... Ive never seen a song with a bitrate below 192, most are 256 and 512.
On top of which, they are all tagged.
As far as tagging the MP3s yourself...... I think it depends on the MP3 player itself. I have a Kenwood MP6025 Headunit in my truck. It wont display the name of the artists, just folder 01, folder 08, folder 03....... However it will display the artist name, track name, and album name ONCE the song starts. But I cant just sit there and browse the names, just the folders.
On the other hand, my wifes 2004 has a stock stereo and plays MP3s. For some strange reason, I can take the exact same MP3 disc out of my Kenwood, put it in her stock, and only some of the folders will display the names etc...., if at all???? I think it has to do with the file itself.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like another imperfect situation. I'm familiar with the tagging of the songs. My question really is if it is at all possible on the audiofile system to have the folder show a name instead of a number? But, it sounds as if that's not the case. I guess I should get used to knowing that all of my Eagles songs are in F8. Thanks again for the reply.

Unfortunatley, thats the way it is.
My Kenwood disc changer plays MP3s. I burned roughly 700 albums onto 10 dvd+r discs...... I couldnt tell you what albums are on what discs.....and its been over 6 months!
