Hooking an amp up to PA speakers

I'm getting a CB with a PA setting and I want to hook up a PA speaker or 2 to it. the problem is the CB outputs at 4 watts and the pa horns can handle about 25 watts a piece. How feasable would it be to hook up a small amp between the CB and speakers? and would there need to be anything special done to hook it up, or would I do it the same way that I would a set of car speakers?

Aggie,

You don't need an amp for the PA speaker. The manufacturer states it's rated for 25 watts, but that doesn't mean you need to push extra watts into it to reach 25.

The radio as-is should work fine. I've set them up in the past and it's plenty loud.

Hey sorry i havent updated, I went a different path. I got a 100 watt PA system, free, surplus from work. I'm going with that now, it's far louder than my old CB system.
