MP3 Question
Hey guys, I have the Alpine 9831 which plays MP3's and I compiled about 13 cd's on to a MP3 but when I go to play the MP3 on my Alpine the order in which the songs are played are all out of order from the way I burned them. No, the random play is not on.
Can someone please educate me? I am confused.
I appreciate any input.

Well, if your cd's had that CD Text, then it might have put them in alphabetical order of the song titles.
Or sometimes if aranges them by file size.
What program did you use to burn it. I have Nero and it did the alphebetical order thing, and so far I cant find a way to change the order.
Are you trying to mix up all the songs or have all the songs from one artist/cd in a group. If you are doing the latter you could make a folder for each cd. You would have to switch folders every time you wanted a different artist though, instead of just popin' in the mps and lettin it go.

The Alpine HU's are capable of reading Playlists. If your ripping software sorts the songs alpha-numerically, you can create a playlist with the songs in the order you wish and then tell the HU to use the playlist when it plays.
I use both MusicMatch and Roxio. They both do it a little differently but the playlist is the key to song sorting for me...

I use music match and it burns them alphabetically. I thought I was putting each artist as a seperate playlist, but apparently I am doing something wrong.
Sorry, but I am very new to the MP3 world.
