Installing Extra Speakers???
OK, I know this is a total newbie question, but, i just installed a new pioneer stereo in by 1986 ford f-150 (nothing special: it only puts out 4 by 40 watts) and i also bought four speakers, i had no problem installing the head unit with two speakers in the door, but i have these other two speakers (6 1/2 inch, 100w Max) that i dont know what to do with any suggestions???
Tyler,
Are you crafty? You could get some 3/4'' plywood, build a little square (or thin truck style) box and fill it with fiberglass insulation and tuck them behind the seat(s) and mount them? Just figure your sizes, cut the boxes, Liquid Nail and screw them together. Pop in the speakers with some grilles, done.
I had an extra pair of Pioneer 6x9's I was thinking about using for rear fill, but the boxes I had them in are no longer....and I gave the speakers away.
Just my .02........
