Replacement Stereo

I have a cassette, AM/FM stereo in my 2000 F-250. Can I simply swap this stereo with one from eBay that has all of that plus a CD player? It fits in the same hole, but I'm unsure of the wiring. If it's a simple plug, great. If it requires some electrical work, I'm screwed. Thanks

Well, it depends. Some fords with the premium sound option have different wiring harnesses than vehicles with standard sound packages. Why not just get a regular aftermarket stereo? Almost everyone out there is better than factory and you can get a good one for about $100 bucks and a really good one for $200-$250. Splice the adapter harness to the cd player (like 5 wires all color coated - can't screw it up) plug harnesses in, install cd player with adapter plate, and done. 30 minute job at the most.
