Unhappy Bad Reception

I have an 03 Screw with the factory AM/FM CD player and have been getting some very poor reception lately. I have noticed that stations that usually have a strong signal are even cutting out at times. Has any one had this problem. I recently installed a computer chip and am wondering if I knocked somthing loose. I dont recall having this problem before and checked the connection to the antenna at the fender.

My 04 SCab has weak receive also. They changed out the radio but it still has it. I think the radios were not equiped with a good front end on the radios.

I noticed this also. It may be due to solar storms. We have been able to see the aroura(sp) aka northern lights fairly well recently on clear nights and the electric grid system control (I work as an operator at a power plant) informed us that a K-6 which is fairly high solar magnetic disturbance was occuring and this was this past sunday nov. 8.
