looking for some help on audio system

looking for some help on audio system

well i got a 2004 f150 screw but i didnt get the shifter in the middle instead i got the seat that folds down. but anywho
im gonna put in 2 10' subs with a 600 watt amp. i got that all covered.. my only problem is with highs,mids,and tweeters..
i am looking a some infinity kappas but i dunno what size i can fit into my truck . does anyone know what stock speakers are in the doors?

If you go to www.crutchfield.com, it will tell you what will replace the factory speakers. I think the doors are 6 x 8's.

What setup are you going with for the two 10's? Which box? Under the back seat, right?

Yes, both doors are 6x8s. 5x7s will also fit. Check e-bay. It has great prices on them. Just be carefull, some of them on there don't come with a warranty.

wiring question for Dupuis...

I too installed an XM Commander in the ashtray as you did (I prefer the stealth look myself...great idea). The only issue/problem I currently have is where can I easily locate an "accessory" lead. Currently I have it wired "hot", but would prefer to connect it properly.

Any help you or anyone else can give is appreciated.

If I remember right, I wired it to the black with pink stripe wire in the radio wire harness. The same place I have my amp turn on lead to.
