Dynamat alternatives?

Does anyone have any suggestions for sound deadining materials besided Dynamat. That stuff is way to expensive. I need cheap....really cheap Even some of the off brand stuff is to expensive for me. So are there any other brands that are good, and cheap, or does anyone have an idea of what would work for sound deading? Thanks

It's called Peel and Seal, you can get it at Lowe's in the roofing dept. It comes in 6''x10' rolls for $6 or $7. It is 45 mils thick, so 2 layers work fine.

While not the preferred method of eliminating resonances, simple air drying modeling clay can do a pretty good job of quieting things down. You don't want to apply the stuff to large surface areas because it's a pain and kinda messy, but for spot treatment it does pretty good for the $.

I almost used that stuff, but I read a few people that had problems with it melting and others that didn't (both in hot areas). Anyways I opted to be safer and against it. Also it as $11 near me.

I think I'm going to go with some sort of paint on.

Also look for the stuff on ebay.
