Will a 03 head unit work in a 98?

I can't guarantee this 100%, but I don't believe it will unless you do some serious cutting back inside your dash. The facepiece is the same size as ours (mine's a '98). But, your truck has a flat metal bracket that supports the player inside the dash. Your radio's "case" is only about half as tall (thick) as the faceplate you see out front. The 6-cd indash unit's "case" is the full depth of the faceplate all the way back. I've also thought that 6-cd player is the way to go, but after being in the dash of my truck as many times as I have, I can see that I'm not ready to start rearranging stuff in there.
