New system!!

I have ordered everything and now I'm impatiently waiting for the goodies to arrive.

My system will consist of the following:

Panasonic 7" LCD/DVD head unit (already installed and purchased long before I owned this truck)
JL Audio 300/4 Amplifier ($365 shipped)
JL Audio VR525CSi component set (front doors) ($166.90 shipped)
JL Audio TR570CXi coaxial (rear doors) ($111.50 shipped)
JL Audio 10W3 4-ohm 10" Sub ($158.90 shipped)
Proboxrocks.com single 10" sub box ($140.58 local)

I am having the amp installed by a professional, so that will eb the only labor charge. ($100 includes amp wiring kit and speaker wires) The amp will power the VR525CSi's and the Sub. The HU will power the rear TR570's.

Total $1042.88

What do ya'll think? I will post pics as soon as everything is installed. Probably by next weekend if everything goes as planned.

Next are the headrests

haha. Cute

I think I might be dumping my XR's up front in favor of Focal separates. Either that or I need to add a DQT or something. The kind of music I listen to is pretty busy and it's hard to keep the frequencies playing nice.

The rear door speakers came in, so I installed them right away. The sub should be here tomorrow, but unfortunately the amp will not be shipped until Thursday. I've updated my gallery w/two pics of the JL rear door speakers. Come on UPS, drive that big brown truck.

I've installed the front door JL component set. I had a small set back when I realized the mounting size of the new speaker was smaller than the factory speaker, so I took it out on the factory junk speakers. I removed the factory speaker grill, cut a hole in the middle and mounted the JL 5.25" speaker on the factory grill, then bolted that right in the factory holes. Until my amp arrives, I'm running these components off the Panasonic HU.

Pics are in my gallery.
