Question Nak and Denon

I'm looking for a head unit (preferably Alpine) that is comparable to high end Nakamichi or Denon units.

I have a Nak MB-75 and the CD changer is on the fritz.

Any opinions?

Thanks...

Alpine F1 status 7990 I believe they call it these days. Has copper chasis, dead head, tos-link, dual 24 bit burr brown DAC's, black out, yada yada. Super nice piece but also a super nice price tag at about $2k. If you can find a nice used Alpine 7969 like mine you get pretty much all of the above with the exception of the burr browns.

I am not an Alpine fan at all so I would have to vote eclipse. Unless you with with the F1 from Alpine or the P1 combo from Pioneer, or maybe a few others. I have not tried the Denon decks so I am not much of a bliever yet. Panasonic has a tube deck out that is a double din that looks pretty cool, but I don't knwo how it preforms.

Chis, do you know Regal1975 from caraudioforum? He is in your area....

If your not looking to spend that kind of coin, the CDA 7998 is serving me well. Has more than enough features for this kid!
