Which Subs

Ok - I have narrowed it down to 2 subs. It will either be a MTX 5510-44 or a JL 10W3v2-D4 Both are 10" with Dual 4 ohm Coils

Which one do you think will work best in a 2004 Lariat Screw?

Personally (sp) I would go for the JL. IMO they are one of the best subs out there. I dont really think of JL and MTX as much of a comparison, as Im not a real big MTX fan. Mainly due to the fact that everyone around here has MTX and thinks they are the absolute best no matter what you say(even though my 1 Eclipse pounds harder and sounds way better than any of theirs who have 2 subs, excect for one guy with 3 10's, that thing hits, sounds crappy though)

But Im sure the majority of the people will tell you JL. FAR superior to MTX IMO, and Im sure alot of others too.

If you have a chance to listen to both do so, and just go with the one you like best.

i wont tell u that. JL is way overpriced and just looks good on an advert page, not worth the money for its job. admittedly, fed the right about of power and the perfect box, JL does sound good, but there are aot better alternatives to subs. i enjoy kappa perfect subs most, but they're not the loudest subs in the world, but u will be shaken by 15hz vibes.
as for MTX, they're 9500 series is good, however i havent heard any type under that.
others i recommend looking:
PPI
Eclipse
Diamond Audio (M5 is old yet it hits harder than an MTX, or so i've heard)
