Cd player

Anybody ever put in a newer factory cd player in a 97 or 98 F-150 with the older style wire harness?

Thumbs up

Just did the swap myself! What you need is the Ford wiring adapter (99 to 02 radio Cd to 97-98 plugs) from www.replacementradios.com about $40.00 shipped for the harness!(OUCH!) But it works perfect! I had the 2 long plugs in the back of my 97 F150 am/fm tape unit and got a 2002 Ranger head unit(with world plug) am/fm CD from my brother, got the adapter harness and in less than 3 minutes....... CDs! Super easy!
