Volume **** Malfunction

I was beginning to install my amp/sub and I disconnected the battery to install the fuse block the reconnected the battery.

Now when I move the Volume **** one Tick it jumps to 1/2 volume the second tick is full volume.

It seems like the volume counter is stuck counting in 10's instead of ones! Has anyone seem this problem?

My only guess at fixing it is to disconnect the battery again and see if it resets....

FYI

In my first attemp, I disconnected the battery and reconnected it after a minute. Same problem persisted.

The second attemp I left the battery off for approx 2 hours and then reconnected it, it worked, all is good now.

All I can figure is that there must have have been a sticky bit in the encoder/counter circuitry.

Glad that it worked for you. One minute was not long enough for anything to reset, usually 10 to 15 minutes will suffice.
