cd changer stuck

on my cd changer the cartrige is stuck and won't come out, and it won't play cd's. i was wondering if anyone had the same problem, and what to do other than buying a new cd changer.

Remove the CD changer, take it apart and then remove all CD's and magazine from it. It is possible that you have simply got a CD hung up and that clearing that jam will correct the problem.

Unfortunately I don't have a step by step instructions for doing this. You really have gotta wing it and figure it out on your own. Once you figure out how to remove the changer then you will be able to see there are some screws that will need to be removed from the sides of the changer and then the case will seperate into 2 pieces. Just be careful not to break anything. If you do not feel comfortable taking the changer apart then I would suggest that you take it to a reputable shop and have them remove the magazine and any CD's from it.

Oh, once they or you get the CD's and magazine out then make sure you have all CD's out of the magazine before you put it back in the changer. This way you can see if the changer will at least eject the cartridge without having to go through the process of taking it apart again just to rescue your CD's.

Again, you probably have a CD jammed and my suggestion would be to take out the changer, remove all CD's to clear the transport. Once you have that done then try to apply power and a catridge with a single CD and see if it will play.
