Question Audiophile - Can the H/U play MP3's?

I just purchased a new f-150 Supercrew Lariat with the audiophile system. For stock, I think it sounds pretty good.

My question:

Everything I read about the H/U says that it will play MP3 CD's. I have made several on my computer and they will not play in the truck. It says "CD ROM DISC" when I put the CD in and it spits it back out.

Will it play MP3's?

Any tips or tricks out there?

Thanks,

A newbie to the forum, rsballard64

I haven't tried it yet on mine....but from what I've read from others, it will not work. I'm kind of bummed about it.

It looks like the information in the owners manual indicating that it plays MP3s was either a complete misprint or was poorly worded and meant something else.

Thanks,

I tried it as well and thought maybe I wasn't creating the CD correctly. But after six tries, I gave up.

I did finally see where in another thread that someone thought that the CD6/MP3 player meant CD6 or MP3.

I was pretty bummed about it as well. That would be a lot of music on six CD if they were all MP3's.

Thanks again.
