Curious if anyone has any bright ideas as to where to mount the tweeters from a component set? The kicker is I'm trying to balance sound quality and at the same time not advertise visibly through your windshield that I have upgraded stereo components.
FYI, I just recently bought a used supercrew and traded in my 150 xcab. I had Polk Momo tweeters flush mounted near the front handles and I thought they sounded pretty good there in my other x-cab. It was broken into and radio stolen 1 week ago (before trading), but didn't mess with the speakers (guess they didn't like Polk!). I was told that I could not fit the component set in the factory mount door location if I get 6.5" set. Audio guy said I would have to use 5.25" set. Anyway, hoping for tweeter mount guidance. My guess is the answer will be mount behind factory door location if I am concerned about visibility and sacrifice sound quality. Thanks
