'97 needs CD

I really would like to keep the stock look on my dash and found a source (other than a dealer) for stock audio receivers/ CD units. Unfortunately, they said that the '97 is NOT wired for an in-dash CD. Have any of you converted a newer stock unit into a '97. Yea, I know that this boring but I'm old and have too many other places to park my $$$.

Thanks,
Chiz

yeah, i've done it, all you need is a simple adapter available at www.radiosandmore.com for like 30 bucks, and you're in bidness, i personally have a 2001 cd player in mine. It sounds so much better than the johnny brokeass tape deck that i used to have. check the classifieds, that's where i got mine, 65 bucks, including shipping and it was brand new. let me know if you need any more info

Woo-hoo, Blue. You must be one lucky guy. The b est deal I found was a '99 of questionable quality at a bone yard. I've been watchin the classifieds and the penny savers for a long time and there's not a thing. I'll check that link for the heck of it.
Thanks,
Chiz

You can probably grab one off of ebay fairly cheap... just a thought.

if you get the dual media one, you'll have to trim some of your duct work behind your radio, because it is taller in the back
