Constant buzzing/ringing

I just got a new F150 SuperCrew this past weekend, and one of the first things I noticed when I got it home was that there is a low buzzing whenever I play a CD or have the radio on. It reminds me of the buzz that you hear on planes. However, when the volume is up, you can't hear it, when its either low or all the way down, it is noticable.

Its quite annoying, and its not my CD's, or a specific radio station. The dealer is really all but useless, as their audio guy is only there from 9-12pm M-F, and I have school during the day. I might go back to the dealer I bought it from, but thats a 100 mile round trip.

Has this happened to any of you guys before?

That is kinda a common problem. If they don't replace the radio under warranty you might want to look into an aftermarket radio. There cheaper and usually better sounding than the factory unit.

Just got my 03 a week ago and started noticing the buzz. Came to this site before the dealer to find the real solution. Single CD that buzzes or sounds like a fan as soon as ingnition or accessory power is turned on even with no CD in player...

Well they replaced the radio under warranty it last week when I took it in to fix the axle (long story). Now it doesnt buzz all the time now, just when im playing CD's, but its a lot less noticable.

Its "better" I guess, but I dont want to take it back to the shop because I'd have to leave it there overnight. The radio tech is only there from 9a-12pm.... and I have to be downtown by 7.30am every day.

I dont think the stock sound is too bad... its a lot better then my old truck. I may look into getting a new system, but I would like to do some performance mods first.
