I've come to realize as far as brands go, it all depends on where you live. I have friends in Texas that swear by Cadence, or did until this latest line came out. Around here JL is "the best" and honestly it's because the biggest store in town pushes them. I have a friend that owns a stero shop though, and he's had great results from Lightning audio, mainly their amps and mid range speakers. No one has alpine, pioneer, or anything like that. I just think it's funny to see how one brand sucks in one city and is the best thing ever in another. But have any of you ever used Lightning Audio?

 

I hear their pretty good inexpensive amps. Definatley a bargain for what get. IMO.

 

I got a Lightning Audio 300.2 and it works pretty good. I was gonna buy a memphis amp a couple of days ago to replace it and the lead guy at the store said "There would be no audible difference between it and the memphis amp." So I am keeping the lightning amp. You can get them really cheap from ubid.com. I think I paid 80 bucks for the 300.2. Bottom line with lightning you get exactly what it says and nothing extra.

Actually if you can get your hand on some of the older lightning audio amps they actually are the old punch series amps in a different case. I have been told that by many people.
