Stock changer

I bought my truck used and not long after buying it my changer went out on a FREAKING ROAD TRIP. That sucked and a half. Anyway, I'm really tired of having to use a discman and tape adaptor to play cds. Anyone looking to get rid of a stock changer for really cheap that would work in my 97? Eventually I'll go ahead and replace it all, but for now anything is better than what I have.

I bought an am-fm/CD,cassette player from a 1999 Windstar through eBay for my 97 F-150. The plugs were different so I purchased an adapter. Everything worked except the sound. I was told at a sound shop that some of the stereos route the sound through a rear earphone jack or a CD changer and that was probaly one of them. It seems that the stero plugs are one of the things that are different on 97-98s.
