Help speaker prob
I have an eclipse head unit, I have 2 12' subs , and infinity door speakers ( factory replacements).. the rear speakers were factory still. I hooked a new amp up 2 the 2 door speakers today. My highs sound great now, but my rear factory speakers don't even play now ? No sound at all no matter what i do fade and such. they are still hooked up into the wiring harness going into the head unit.
What chould of happened ? to make them stop working .....they should still be pushed by the head unit ? yes- no ?
If they were blown whould they not rattle ???

I doubt they are hooked up if you aren't getting any sound out of them. Something on the cd player could be turned off or your cd player isn't wired correctly.

This is just a crazy idea probably...
maybe the eclipse head unit shuts off the internal amp when you use the RCA plugs. That's just an off the wall idea and I've never heard of a headunit doing that..lol.
The only other thing I can say is check all the wiring and try disconnecting the RCA's for the new amp from the head unit and see what happens. You might even try connecting your back speakers to the front output wires of the head unit to see if they start working again. Just throwing out some ideas.
