Tweeter clearance

I am considering flush-mounting tweeters in the little triangular area at the front of the door (used to be a separate sail panel piece before 99, but now its attached to the door trim).

How much clearance is back there? Could I mount a tweeter that requires 1" of clearance? 1 1/4" clearance?

Any help or pictures are appreciated.

Ive seen it done before, and as far as I know there is enough room back there but on my 99ex the two triangular pieces are different. The right(from inside) has enough clearence but the left side doesnt. The only way to tell is to pull em off. Its easy, just Pull I think. Cant remember.

I chose to surface mount mine, because the '01 has a plastic hook that holds the sail to the door, right in the center where you would logically mount the tweeter.

I saw another system somewhere in here that the guy mounted his tweeters flush, right in the flat space in front of the door handle.

Wish I had done that, but it did not look as if there was enough room when I took mine apart...
