Dash panel removal.
What is the best way to remove the dash panel to get to the cd player. So i can then install my deh 7400 mp.
I didn't have to play with it today but i am gonna install it tomorrow. Any information is very much appreciated. I am kinda worried that i might break or scratch the panel. Are there some clips that hold it on or maybe you have to pull it a certain way to pop it off?? I need a lil help.

HEy let me know how u like the 7400mp that is the mp3 with like the dolphin graphics right. I am also interested in buying that. Anyways to get the dash out it easy, on f150 or ex (its actually not the whole dash just the piece that surrounds radio and climate controls) 1. Push the head vents in toward each other. 2. Using the edges that this created, on the insides (both facing towards radio) put ur fingers and pull out. Its as easy as that.
Also let me know if it is slow switching from song to song. Thanks.

Y2kXLTSport and Hummin25: Thanks for all the information. I am gonna put it in this afternoon hopefully. Hummin25 i'll let you know all the info as soon as i get it installed. It really looks to be a nice radio though.
Cd player is really nice and the installation was easy. Took me less than 30 minutes. Although i am still scratching my head on the mp3 function. I have burnt 3 cds different ways and none of them have worked. I am about to install adaptec and try again. If anyone reads this and knows how to get it to work please reply.
I used nero to burn my mp3 cd. Now it works like a charm. I got over a 100 songs on 1 cd. There is an 8 sec wait between songs, but it really ain't that bad. I figured out how to keep the screen from changing colors during visuals. You hit 5 with the cd player of and demo mode cuts off. You can switch folders when playing an mp3 disk. It is really nice unit and worth every penny. It has five visual but the best ones are the one with the dolphine and the race car one. I paid 239.00 at ikesound.com for the unit. Now i just gotta get me an amp and two tens.
ahead NERO burning rom is a good program....i've been usin it for like 2 months now...not 1 problem yet....too bad u didnt have ur amp and 10's the same time u had ur player...installation wouldve been so easy....good luck
