Question Tornado

What's up guys? I am new to this site. I bought my 99 F-150 Lariat Flareside 4x4 (5.4) a few weeks ago, and have been reading the posts on this site lately. Does anyone have any experience with the Tornado, which is installed in the air intake hose? Just wondering. I am researching on whether to get a Tornado and a K & N air filter, or replace the stock air box with a K & N or Airraid system. I have read a lot of opinions on the cold air intakes and all, but I want to see if anyone has any opinions/experience with the Tornado...

I never had one, but have a friend who put one in his Dakota. He used a G-Tech to measure HP before and after. THERE WAS ABSOLUTLEY NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL. But, if you wish to purchase it, I have a special magnetic device that clamps around your fuel line. It realigns the fuel molecules so that the fuel burns more evenly, giving you better gas mileage AND more HP

Wink

Well thanks for the input. Right now I am leaning towards getting a MAC cold air induction kit, but I am still open to suggestions.

yeah 4-Play staya way from that tornado POS. And the K&N filter itself helped my stock truck very little. I suppose the FIPK may help a wee bit more.....

Cool

02f150n89,

Your MAC does look great man. I have a couple more questions for you though. How hard was in to install? Did it install nicely without many problems? How long did it take? And most importantly was there any cutting or drilling needed to install the intake?

Thumbs up

4play,
Thanks for the compliment.
It wasn't that hard, about 1-2 hrs, in between beers

It fit perfect, I just took out the small black plastic box and used the chrome elbow instead.
And no cutting or drilling at all
there are more pics at my album. Go check them out
