Pace Edwards roll up cover...

Are you happy with yours?
How much am I looking at spending?
Should I consider another brand?
Thanks
Bruce

PS: There made just about 3 hours from my house.

I haven't personally owned a Pace-Edwards, but my father in law had one on his last truck. I wasn't too impressed with the looks of it - the vinyl was fading on his, even though he had used the conditioners and stuff. I went with the Retrax on both of my trucks and haven't regretted it one bit.

Thumbs up

I got a PE Roll Top cover last year and am very happy with it. There was a problem with the mainspring right after installation but it was fixed immediately for free. Their customer service is great. I judge a company in large part by how they stand by their product if there is a problem and Pace Edwards didn't let me down. The operation of the unit is smooth if lubricated occasionally (2-3 times per year) and it is fairly leak-proof, although a little water gets thru in a heavy rain. I haven't had any problem with the vinyl looking bad or fading yet, but I've only had it for about a year. I would recommend the Roll Top without reservation.

I have the Roll N Lock and am very impressed with it. It looks good and it is almost 5 years old. I clean an lube the top about once every other month. Did have a problem with some water getting in the bed, however, I installed a tailgate seal gasket and that eliminated the water. Turned out the cover wasn't leaking but water was coming in through the gap in the tailgate. The Roll N Lock is very strong, my son 125lbs. + can crawl on top of it without causing any problems. I love the retractable cover and also highly recommend it. I never have to be on my hands and knees when I want to get anywhere in the bed of the truck!
