How do i replace my stock mirrors?

If anyone has a good site that shows how to replace your stock mirrors I would really appreciate it. I have replaced a few other things on my truck but I am trying to stay away from removing the whole door shell if I can. If not thats fine. I would just like some helpful sites on how to do so.
Thanks alot in advance!

heh, thanks anyway.

Sorry to waste your time with something so easy. I went ahead and completed this mod in all of 20 minutes. This was a really quick and easy mod, however it was quite spendy.
Thanks anyhow.

4X4PWR,

Could we consider you answering you own posts as a form of talking to yourself

So what did you do with your mirrors . . . ?

If you have some pics that would be great.

I tried a set of the mirrors that act like the extendable super duty mirrors from CA Car Cover, but they did not fit on the door correctly. The wing was too small. The box was marked as 1997 to 2002, but I think in there was a change to the mirror mount, where the wing got bigger.

Should I have looked in your Galery and answered my own question ?

BTW Talking to yoruself is not as bad as arguing with yourself, specifically if you argue with yourself and loose <g>.

sms

PS : Yes it is a very slow day at work, thus the reason for the post-a-matic that I am doing today. <g>

I actually got some Crome backed mirrors.

My truck is an XL but I have recently upgraded it almost to an XLT on my own. From the looks you couldnt even tell it was an XL. Once I get my wheel well flares painted I will be set. The only other mod that I am going to do is convert my manual doors and windows to power. My buddy does them for a living and he is going to help me out. I have already pre ordered my XLT side badges, so hopefully in a month i will have an aftermarket XLT.
I defiantly need some new pictures.. You guys would be amazed with the before and after pictures! I will get them up as soon as I steal my dads digital camera.

My stock mirrors were just the plain old black ones and i still have them. The new mirrors are the ones with the crome backing... however I may be changing them to painted here in about a week.
