Wheel-to-Wheel Nerf Bars?

Anyone have these on their truck? I wanted Maniks but they do not make ones specifally for my 98 3 door, so I'm going a different route. I have seen the ones Go Rhino has and I saw where Westin was or is coming out with some. Anyone have these or any other brands?

Thanks in advance for the help

Westin does make a wheel-to-wheel tpye. Do not know specific applications but I will try to remember to check for ya on Wed.

Are you sure Manik doesn't off one, I could have sore I saw something for about that year of truck, I'm probably wrong. What if you bought a set for a ext cab four door. You would just have that one extra step, it's not like it's going to look wierd.

Yes, Manik makes one for the 98 four door, like you said I may go with that and just deal with having a step where there is no door. I really like the quality of Manik but now that I have found these wheel-to-wheel bars I'm trying to figure out which would be more functional.

Anybody have any comments on the quality of the Go Rhino?

Anyone have good/bad/otherwise comments on Go Rhino neft bars.

Also, who carries these at the best deal...buying from manufacture is not the way to go, to much $.

Look at the functioning of a full length bar. To avoid bending or damage to the bed it must be mounted to the cab only or to the frame. The ones I have seen are cab mounted. When you step on the end in front of the bed you are creating stress on the mounting point closest to the bed. This acts a lever and over time it will loosen the mount.

I have Nerf bars (frame mounted) from my 97 on my truck. They have been bent and straightened many times and now they are starting to show signs of their age. I have had them sand blasted and I have repainted them many times. I would hate to see the body panels if they had been cab mounted. When I play in the mud or sand I take them off for extra ground clearance. Now if you add a body lift, cab mounting should put them out of harm's way. If you never go off road then it should never be an issue.
