Your lookin' for a LUND Interceptor. They are high profile which means that there is alot of clearance between your bug deflector and your hood. It says in my book that you don't need silicone nubs on your hood for this deflector. And it makes it easier to get in there behind it to clean/wax your hood. Hope this helps.

Screwed In NC, After I read your post I thought that maybe you bought the wrong kind of lund deflector. They have the version that you paint and the smoke tint version. I was thinking if you bought the smoke tint version instead of the paintable version, and painted(the smoke tint version), the paint might have warped it and made it deformed. Just a thought.

I had the same problem with mine. Lousy fit. Only had it on for
2 days. Opened the hood to check it and it had rubbed
the pain off. I couldn't get it off fast enough!!

To WLF

I don't have any nubs on my hood. I have plenty of room to get my hand behind it to clean it also. No complaints at all. I also didn't install it. Got in a crash and the guys at the shop put it on. So they must have done it right.

My01Bolt,

I know what you mean. I tried everything to get it to fit better. No way I was going to leave it on my truck.

WOLVERINE,

I got the clear one. I wanted to be able to paint the back of it to match the truck.

It is possible something happened while the shop was painting it for me. It looks good, and I really liked the fact you didn't have to use the rubber bumpers with it. Just for fun I should call Lund and talk to them. Who knows, they may offer a replacement if in fact it was mishapen from the factory.

I ended up getting a Bugflector II from AutoZone for $42.95. It's pretty cool looking and you don't have to drill any holes. It also has a lifetime warranty.

I had a Bugflector II on mine, but decided I wanted one to match my truck. Needless to say, I have a bugflector II sitting around if anyone is interested in getting one for cheap. Only on for five months, in perfect condition, no cracks or scratches, smoke color.

Hey dufunnel, Did you apply the little rubber pads to your hood that the Bugflector II came with? Or are they needed?

I put them on the bug deflector on the part that wraps around the end of the fender, but they never rubbed.
