Arrow Is Pro-M 80mm Mass Air and Filter same as AF1 or K&N?

Are the Pro-M 80mm Mass Air and Filter similar products to the Air Force One or K&N? Or are these two completly different products that can be installed on the same truck? If their are the same...which is better for a supercharged 5.4? If they are not the same...is the ProM 80mm worth purchasing on a supercharger application? Thank you for all your responses.

Do you have a supercharged 5.4?

The MAF sensor and an FIPK like AF1, K&N or Airaid are 2 different animals.

If you're naturaly aspirated and no other major mods, a larger MAF sensor won't do you any good, except spend some money in my opinion. You have to do something to increase the engines capacity for air intake and the OEM MAF sensor is plenty.

Yes...this product will be applied to a 5.4L ATI Supercharged engine. (Also with chip, intake, exhaust, headers) I was asking this question to find whether or not the MAF is another name for the sensor or an aftermarket FIPK (like K&N) Does Pro-M make a FIPK? Thank you for your response

Would the Air Force One or K&N be a good investment to replace the Intake that comes with the ATI or is this intake sufficient? What about the Pro-M MAF...would this MAF be a better choice over the stock MAF witht the ATI? I really appreciate your responses...thanks for all the help you guys have given. I am trying to get my list down of additional modifications to make to the ATI.

i may be a drunkardly fool, but im gonna take a wild stab at this. granted i have no real understanding of the ati, but i assume the air has to go through the supercharger first, so you can't use the air force 1 cause it goes straight to the carb. you probabley could if you got the intake bent and cut though.

Thanks Max Mitchell...you are a big help

Will the ProM MAF function properly w/o the additional TB, elbow, etc....?

One more question...What tranny upgrades should be made to handle the extra power? Please list in order of importance. (Money is not unlimited)

Thank you.

So do you or don't you recommend me purchasing the MAF...your comments conflict a little...it's hard to get your true impression on this product.

Sorry, I'll be more clear. The MAF will do little, if anything, until you combine it with the larger throttle body and intake elbow. If it is used, you should have your superchip calibrated by an expert to match your system while it's in for it's ATI calibration.
