My Airforce One Install

I just installed my Airforce One (thanks Mike!) and I'm quite happy with it. The install had a few more problems than I'd have liked, but I've had them with every mod I've done on my truck. The directions could have been a bit more clearer, but all directions I've gotten could have been. Didn't get install pictures, it didn't occur to me till now. Removing some things from the old air system was difficult, escpecially the air temp sensor. I needed some robo grips to get that thing out. I'd check out a few installs online too, they'd really help. Install took about an hour, and I put in a superchip too, and the engine sounds so much better. It shifts more firmly, and is definatley more powerful. Post questions here, I'll answer any ASAP.

FYI, I've got the same mods on my 5.4 and I average 16.5 MPG. I drive 70 miles a day, mostly 2-lane highway at 65 MPH with cruise on. I picked up about .5 MPG with the addition of both mods.

Hope this helps!

Sporkdevil?

Devil,

Did you get the AF1 local or mail-order/on-line? I've seen posts re: AF1 since finding this MB and am interested. Is it true that the AF1 takes in cold air better than the K&N? Any warranty probs using it?

i believe it does bring in cold air better, because on the k+n gen 2, from what I can tell, doesn't have a filter where the cool air comes in, where the AF1 dips in and has a filter for the cool air that comes in at the side wall. I do know it gives more power and looks better than the k+n gen 2. I'd pick the af1 again. I dunno about warranty problems, I haven't dealth with any of that yet, but the installation was easily done with just a few parts. It'd be good to research, save some time.

Concerns regarding moisture

I am interested in a FIPK and still have not decided on the K&N or the Airraid.

Is moisture a problem with either system?
Chrome or Black on the Airraid better?

AIRFORCE 1 ALL THE WAY!!!

I talked to Mike today from superchips, and he said that the airforce one get about 4 to 5 more horse out of the engine!!!
And it looks awesome due to the aluminum aircraft metal it uses.

He has an awesome deal on this if you get it through him!!!

$239.00 for airforce 1
$225 for the superchip
$464 for the both delivered...

If you buy them individually you pay shipping on it and if you buy them as a package you get free shipping..
Oh and by the way the price is with your F-150 online discount!!!

It is the only way to go!!!!!!!!
