Question Mileage Killer ?

Have any of you heard of a some sort of "Mileage Killer"

From what I hear, there is a device that will stop the digital
Mileage counter on all fords. If you are leasing, one
could drive as much as one wanted and not go over the allotted miles.
Also this device bypasses the car or tucks computer so there
is no way to tell the Mileage has been tamperd with other than the normal wear and tear of the car or truck.
If any of you have any info on this I would like to know more.
Thanks.

I had just about hit the limit on my lease and was going to have to park the truck for a year. The 'Mileage Killer' seemed like just the ticket for me. My buddy said he could 'adjust' it so I'd actually get negative miles.
Something went wrong, after just one night my truck ended up with 391,000 miles on it. Then the 'Mileage Killer' broke for good.

Now, I can't drive the truck anymore 'cause I already owe $86,000 in excessive mileage.

Dont think it would work. That info comes from the computer on late model trucks so it would not be "bypass-able".

raoul you might as well buy out your lease. that sucks even though it is a crime to do what you did. maybe ford realized this thing and put something in the comp. that would raise the miles. who knows. maybe you could call them and tell them your truck has been running strong for over 300,000 miles and you want to be in a comercial try to get something out of it

I tried to buy the truck. The dealer just laughed in my face.

He said, "No Way! I want my mileage money!"

Can you say "ILLEGAL"!!!

I have never heard of a dealer that would not let you buy a lease - most of them want you to buy it - sounds like they are trying to pull one over on you. I would contact FORD directly (maybe an area manager - not the dealer).

Question

Raoul, even with the wet bar in place of the airbag, they still wanted it back? Sounds fishy to me.

Raoul,

At least you can claim to have gotten 180 miles/gallon, and have a truck that has almost no wear for close to 400K miles.

All I have to say about this topic is that if they ever do catch you expect to pay dearly. This has to be some kind of fraud case.

Oh.. and Raoul we are all awaiting the pictures of the wet bar because thats my next mod for sure.

OK, had to make a decision on this thread:

Was it more important to scare potential users of this type device?

Or was it more important to keep 'LightningCrew' from getting an ulcer?

I decided to bail.
My preceding posts were fictitious.( can you believe it?)

Now about the wet bar, it's gone. I got carried away after I put the strobe light in and added a martini shaker to the steering wheel.
I got pulled and the officer asked, "What's that on the wheel?"
I said, "That's my martini shaker."

You couldn't make a decent martini on the straightaways anyhow.

That is excessive. In my defense, I must say that I'm sure I made an intelligent post but, now I can't find it.

He he

I'm still not believing LightningCrew fell for it. With his number of posts I thought certainly he knew Raoul and was playing along too (unless he really was and I'm the one falling for it now - hmmmmm).

Anyway, to those who haven't noticed yet, check out Raoul's title - that should explain it all.

Raoul, funny story since you mentioned wet bar:
My brother-in-law took one look at the console in the rear of my KR and said "I think you could put beer in there. Put a plastic bag in there with some ice and I could drink all the way to WVa when we go skiing in Feb."

I have no doubt he'd try it if I let him.
