Amp Research Install

My boards arrived yesterday and I will be installing them when the snow is gone. That being said, I am calling on all that have installed these themselves, looking for any tips to make the job go smoothly. For instance, the butt splices that come with the kit look kinda cheesy to me. Anyone try something different?

Installed today. Getting to the wire harness was a pain and had no problems with the supplied splices. Took 3.5 hours.

Thanks for the write up. I plan on purchasing these as soon as I can. I have a 2002 F150 SuperCrew and I am worried they will stop production soon like many other have for these older trucks. 3.5 hours is a good deal. I will definitely install these myself and save some $$$. Amazon has them for my truck for $1,200 right now. Hopefully by mid summer I'l be able to get them. Do yours have the LED lights on them for night time use?

Got mine from www.trendsauto.com They sell on Ebay with a best offer. I called them directly and asked for a price of 950.00. They agreed and shipped free.

Helped a buddy put these on his Tundra. Easy-peasy. Five years later, they still work great. All we did was put some heatshrink on the connections just because we didn't want them to get wet.

Lucky Dog! I just called them and they don't have any in stock and said there is no way to price it out for me.

There were several on EBay that had the best offer. Pick one and make your offer.

Yes, they came with the LED lights. Debated not putting them in since I have puddle lights, but I am glad I did.
