Question Performance mods!

I have done a few of the easier mods but need to know how many more I can do for a fairly low price and still be gaining noticable hp/torque! How are the power pullies? I've also been reading about the aftermarket Y-pipe, does this help any on throttle response or power at all? Just basically wondering what all I can do on a limited budget to gain a few more ponies!

Power Pulleys are well worth the price around $150 or less. when I first got my truck i had most of my performance things done at once and definately could not tell individual differences. But, Monday morning I started up my truck and heard this awful noise. Took it to my dealer and found that my ASP crank/Harmonic balancer pulley had came apart. Obviously not covered by warranty but was informed that if it was something else pulley related but not my pulleys it would have been covered, such as belt tensioner. Anyway not trying to discourage you because ASP is refunding all of my money that I spent at the dealership and replaceing my pulleys. Back to the important stuff for the time being i have ford factory pulleys in and I can tell a significant difference not huge but a noticable difference. Can't wait to get my pulleys back on.

Did you install them or did you have someone do it? Also where did you get them from?

Unfortunately I had a performance shop order and install them and paid way too much. Since then I have learned that the install is not hard. Do a search for ASP Pulleys or something along those lines, I do not know there web site address or number everything has been handled through the performance shop. You will definately free up some hp on that V10 with them.

Hi Harleyboy,

Next, I agree, do the underdrive pulleys. then, convert over to electric cooling fans, then after that, if you still want more performance, perhaps a set of headers.

There are always more things you can do, though you will reach a point at which the additional horsepower starts getting more expensive to add.

Have fun!
