Thumbs up The Price is $79.95 + $8.00 shipping

I just called Cruiser Stainless to inquire into the cost
I was told $79.95 plus $8.00 shipping.

I asked which model I would use for a 2001 SuperCrew
with the factory tow package, It is model 4199.

I'd love to have this system, but I was expecting about
the 50 dollar range, guess I'll have to save just a little bit longer.

Howdy Truky,

I like it cause it is neatly packag'D, would be a clean setup once installed.

Not sure if I would hook it up to the reverse light or have a seperate switch mounted. A switch would be nice, that way anytime I needed auxilliary lighting I could turn it on.

Hey Lone Wolf

Are the Michigan State Police still 20 years behind the technology curve as far as Emergency Lighting on their squad cars.

Last I had seen, they still had 1 red gumball in the center of the roof with the siren speaker built-in. And some silly looking lighted
glass thingy in the center of the hood that says POLICE.

With all the wackos on the road, not paying attention, f I were a Cop, I couldn't get enough strobes, revolving lites, etc on my vehicle. Kinda like Indiana State Police have. Light em up Dude

They didn't fit my 01 F250 SD

I saw this lighting system in a Popular Mechanics mag a few months back and ordered it. When I called, I specifically asked if this would fit the truck I owned. I was assured (and reassured) it did.

Well... I learned this weekend it doesn't quite fit (not enough clearance between the hitch and the bumper & not enough clearance of the trailer wiring harness). Ouch!

They DO have a switch on them them would allow you to turn them on if you need the light behind the truck. If you wire it as they recommend, you would have to have the ignition on, and the switch is on the housing (whcih means no brighting the people following too closely).

I have seen some suggestions on the board that would allow you to wire the lights in a way that a switch could be mounted in the cab...

Good luck with whatever you choose. I'm looking into mounting some 55w fogs under the bumper (probably with some brackets around the hitch in the back).

Howdy XTRUKY,

Actually those lights that the STATE BoYZ have on their vehicles are modified aircraft landing lights that can project quite a distance and are specially designed to cut through FoG and BLiZZaRD like conditions. Basically allowing our WaRRiOR's to literely give MoTHeR NaTuRE Da FiNGeR!

ItZ just too bad that the DRuNKs can't seem to see them

they might work on the 150

What class trailer hitch do you have on your truck? All the pictures I see show them on the F150... I took a chance with the SD and the Class IV. The positioning of the hitch in relation to the bumper simply doesn't work.

YMMV.

If you need other options, I'm not looking into the KC back-up lights, package # 517. I was told in another thread they cost about $60.

good luck (to both of us)
