Question for anyone who has experience with this intake, on the 97 to 03 trucks. I just purchased one to replace my S&B. Took a quick look at it last night, and it appears well made. One thing I did not see was, is the new filter housing attached to the truuck in any form othern than through teh intakle tubing? Any help appreciated.

 

Im not sure on yours , my 08 f150 there is two screws at the bottom of the air box that attach to the fender well.

 

The early model doesn't have anything securing it to the truck. I installed mine yesterday, it is wedged in there pretty good, and sits on the rubber pads from the stocker. Also asked Volant and got same answer.
