Hey Im Looking to Buy a F-150 Lightning years 1999-2004....
While Saving up I'm not sure what I should do first... Any suggestions?

Get a tuner. With each subsequent mod you do, you can adjust the truck accordingly. For example. I have 35" tires and no tuner. Therefore, my truck thinks it's turning the stock tires. I have loss of power and I don't know how fast I am going.

 

I just bought my FX4 last month and after reading through this site my first mods are going to be:

Performance

1. Gotts/DWV mod
2. E-fans (maybe)
3. Tuner from Troyer

Cosmetic

1. Headlights (so many options so I don't know which one yet)
2. Harley Davidson grille (if I win the lottery)
3. New rims/tires, although it's really last on my mind anyway. I just want 'em.

Depending on what one you buy, mods might already be done that I'd suggest, exhaust, tune, intake etc. I just got some stuff for my Lightning swap that might be upgrades later for you, JLP ram air, afco heat exchanger that kinda stuff.

 

#1 start by researching


#2 fresh plugs and and ai/c core clean

#3 oil seperator

#4 shift kit

#5 built motor

#6 then let the FUN mods come

 

as you can see there are many clueless idiots who will steer you wrong
