Headlight Replacement Bulbs...Help

I recently put smoked headlight covers on my 09 F150. I love the new look but they reduced my visibility a little bit. What kind of aftermarket bulb would give me the brightest beam without having to change my wiring?

Probably Sylvania Silverstar's. You can buy H.I.D. "Look" bulbs but they don't shine very far they are just bright looking on the truck. Your best best is too drop a set of true H.I.D's in.

MRL is right. I have tried several of the Japan and Korean made bulbs and they look good but don't provide much light. I have used Silverstars in my toyo and my F150. These things can't be beat for the price. Can't compare to the HID since I have never had them.

Go Silverstar!!

ANYTHING with colored glass (PIAA, Eurolite, Luminics, Nokay... Yes, even "American" Silverstars) reduces visibility. Sylvania Silverstars are a total gimmick and many, many people unfortunately buy and recommend the product. I too fell for the Sylvania Silverstars and they absolutely blow in the rain compared to the stockers...

The Philips Xtreme Power and Osram Night Breakers are arguably the brightest halogen replacements for your stock bulbs.

Here is a GREAT website on info pertaining to HID's, "tinted glass" bulbs, etc. ---

I have pictures. I'm still trying to figure out how to post them from my iPhone. I'm out of state working right now and don't have a home computer to use where I am. I will post them as soon as I can.

As dark as they are. I think you should go with a H.I.D. Kit. for your heads. Gonna cost more than just dropping replacement bulbs in there but you'll see a substantial improvement. You can get a H.I.D. kit off amazon for under 100 bucks. But when and if you do make sure it has the wiring harness with the kit or you'll need to purchase one seperate. The harness doesn't run that much. $20 bucks shipped. I'll help you out a bit. This is the probably the cheapest route.http://www.amazon.com/JLM-HID-8000K-...9771122&sr=8-9
If you were to purchase those you would also have to purchase this.

Could have a set of HID's for less than $100 bucks. The link for the actual lights are the 8000k's you can look for a chart of different brightnesses if you don't want the 8000k color. I would do either 6000k or 8000k. But thats a personal preference.
