Flexlite E-Fan.

Is any one running the Flexlite E-Fan setup? Need some reviews good or bad, any issues with them. One of teh local shops has one they ordered for a customer, and never picked up. I can get it for what is owed or about half retail. Just want to make sure they are dependable, before I fork out the money, and end up having replace teh controller, or other items.

Glen,
I bought one and installed on my '01 F150..I used a controller from MadEnterprise. I guess the early FAL controllers did not do well when mounted as suggested (near rad) but worked fine when moved to the inner firewall.
Anyway - I loved mine. It never crapped out on me. I would strongly suggest soldiering the connections..not using those crimp-on connections. A buddy of mine installed with crimp connections and he had issues after about 8 months..he eventually hard soldiered..and that was the end of the issues.
I ran it on the truck for 5 years without a failure. It makes a HUGE difference in your AC performance when its hot..especially if you have remote start. Throttle response really improved (this was a 4.6 in an ext cab 4x4) I couldn't tell you regarding mpg..as I installed a tune after one tank of gas..the engine rev'd smoother and quicker though. (Seat of pants only!)
I'd do it again. I'm waiting for the 2010 fans to start showing up on e-bay to install in my '09.

I've had mine now for a few years, since 2005 maybe? It's been working really good, has alot of power! The controller was good but I've had to replace it due in part to my f up. Now, they come with wires straight from the circuit board inside for strength and reliability. That was exactly what I needed and broke in the first place. As long as you know where to tap into for power etc, they're golden!!! I have pics in my gallery of the setup.

I had one for many years on my 2001 F150 V6 that I had. If it could survive the 115 degree plus temps and A/C demands of Hell's Foyer (Phoenix) with a light load going up 4 to 6% grades on I-17 without causing any overheating problems, it has to be good !!!

The only negative I had with it is where they state to put the temperature probe; I put it near the lower outlet of the radiator instead of at the upper hose inlet, and the instructions were somewhat vague on wiring.

Here is a good thread about the Flex-a-lite E fans:
