N-Fab+rust

So I went and washed the truck today and upon further inspection I find that my N-Fab rear runner has the powder coat flaking off and rusting. WTF! Has anyone else had this happen to them with powder coating? Don't know whether to have it re-powder coated or re-paint it myself.

oh wow that sucks! How long have you had them? I'd say blast them down to bare metal and line-x them. Should be GTG then.

I've had it maybe a year and a half? There is a place here where I live that does both powder coating and Line-X. I thought powder coating was supposed to be tough and durable. I think Line-X might be the way to go.

I am almost positive that n-fab has a warranty on their finishes.

Checked N-Fab's website and could not find any warranty info. I think I am just going to get it Line-X'd, less of a hassle than contacting the company and arguing with them whether they should assist me or not. Nice try Jake 89, but I'm going to keep it.

I had a guy here in SD tell me that he would do it for $170, but I had to strip them myself (the were chrome) with a grinder.

Wow that's pretty bad!

Definitely call N-Fab and get them to either send you new ones or pay for the repairs. Especially after only a year and a half.
