Not true, also proved on myth busters.. they put Clay all over the vehicle and had no change * 1 mile run

you have a supercab/scab. supercrew/screw is the full 4 doors.

he traded in for an HHR, gets double the mileage now but has half the cylinders.

Plus I had a fiberglass one.. Added weight to the bed, added drag. Took it off, have never thought about putting it back on.
i thought the tonneau was the same as the bubble. the net was the only better one. but it doesnt make sense, a tonneau and the bed with a net on it would still have the downforce and probably the same amount and no air is getting trapped anywhere. in fact the bed exposed should make it less because of the wheel-wells blocking the air from escaping a little. i dont know.. plus they only used one truck and it was a shortbed. a longbed or ext cab or crew cab might make a difference

Hell if we were smart, I bet those lil ol' smart cars could fit in the beds of our truck....just drive with your truck untill you feel good, then whip out that tinker toy and you can say your getting 30mpg with your truck! (untill you get smoked by that one guy that had to drive his f-150 farther and just creamed your A**)......Ok it was a thought but you never know!

P.S. : "Toyota- Moving Forward......even if you don't want to"
