so i got an 08 f150 supercab and i want to put a lift on it i dk yet if a body or suspension but i cant get one becasuse my parents say its not safe are they really not that safe and are there any ways around it so it becomes safer thanks

 

There is occasionally a safety argument with body lifts, but the major safety issue is the driver and his/her abilities. If you live under your parents' roof and they pay your bills, ask and beg like a little whiner to get your way..if not just live with it until you can afford your own stuff. Sounds harsh, but if they own the vehicle, it is their say.

 

you're probably gonna catch some frack for posting that your parents won't let you get a lift kit.

if done right they are completely safe. all in all it depends on how you drive it. once you realize it's a truck and not a racecar you'll be alright.

i've had mine on for almost a year now and i've towed with it, hauled some big loads in the bed, and even done some pretty hard off-road. no problems whatsoever.

 

x2 what chieffx4 said. if it is your money then go for it; if they are the ones that would be paying for it then it looks like youre going to need to go out and get a job and save some money

i have a body lift and suspension. i dont see how they are unsafe. you just have to know that your center of gravity is higher and not be crazy when going around turns.
