efan or smaller belt driven fan?

So I am pretty new to the thought of efans, just kind of came across the idea of them this week actually while looking for some new pulleys which I ordered and I am waiting on, along with my new headlight housing... anyway, tell me if this is a stupid thought but I was thinking about just ordering a smaller diameter light weight fan blade made by flex-a-lite (Flex-a-lite 10,000 RPM Flex Fans). Would that be of any benefit and about how much or should I shell out the extra cash and go troyer efan? try to give me an honest opinion not one based off the fact that you bought a troyer fan. My thought is that if anything it would take some load off the engine and they are at most around 75 bucks.

I don't think that you would get much benefit from the lighter fan blade. This is because the fan clutch when the fan is off it still rotates. The purpose of the efans is to get rid of the of the fan clutch that is always rotating even when the fan is off. Less rotating mas = less inertia= more power Don't throw your money the trash can buy the troyer efans or make your own efans.

you get the most benefit from the most amount of rotating mass you can remove.
