Cruise Control NOT working after alarm install

Cruise Control NOT working after alarm install

Like it says, my cruise control stopped working after alarm install anyone know why or have this same problem?

So that means you didn't check the fuse. Check the fuse.

That's always the first place you check when there's an electrical issue. That's why it was the first reply.

Check the brake switch, I've seen many alarms use that to toggle the tail lights or power the system since it has power all the time.

also make sure they did not attach the wires to that to keep them out of your feet. My bet is something is interfering with the brake switch path just enough to keep it from deactivating. I had the same issue with mine when it was installed it is a very simple thing check there if the fuse it good.

so how do i go about checking this switch...is it the little black box that's attached near the brake pedal's hinge?

dont you have an LED third brake light? was it installed somewhere around the same time as the alarm? LED thirds are infamous for cruise failure, happened to me and i was all wtf... lol
Either way if all the cruise system and fuses seems fine, its usually a brake wiring issue.

hmm i did have a led TBL but i took it out b/c it leaked.... but i think im going to go to the junkyard and try to find that brake pedal switch and see if that works...
