a F150 5v 'eh??????? didn't know they made one...

since you have an '05 in your information I am am going to assume you have a 2005 F-150 that has a 3 valve 5.4 engine... you can upgrade your TB (throttle body)
however without a custom tune you'll be in trouble also an upgraded TB is pointless without a intake improvement such as this one https://www.f150online.com/forums/ch...-new-post.html or like a S&B intake but either way you'll need a custom tune to keep your engine safe (the 3 valve engines are touchy on the intake changes)

sigh

you didn't even read my other post did you????????????

I understand you are wanting to install a BBK throttle body onto your 2005 F-150 (unknown engine at this point in time; but I am guessing 5.4), you currently have an edge, a volant intake, gibson headers (I assume the worthless shorties) and a flowmaster muffler.

You just want power as possible from bolt ons????

I thinnk you can have PHP turn your edge into a gryphon (they used to but I am not sure if they still do) so you can run a custom tune that is safe for your engine since the 3 valve engines are prone to running lean with any intake modifications

you also need to consider efans, UD pulleys, highflow cats and probably a gear swap

by time it's all said and done you'd be cheaper/better off going with a supercharger or turbo

The shorties did give me some low end power . I do have 5.4 v8 4x4. Its bad azz . I beat some chevy, and dodge's so far . Not trying to race . I just like power . I have the bbk on the way already .Thinking also about some weppon x coils . I will let you know what it dose for me ,if any thing at all > I just hope I did not waste $269 on that bbk throttle body . Bbk claims 10 to15 hp from it.

the COPs are a waste of $$$$ there are many high power trucks on the factory COPs.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE CUSTOM TUNE DO NOT INSTALL THE BBK TB (if you do, you are risking your engine)

since you already have the shorties you may want to go ahead and switch your 4 factory cats to 2 highflow cats

once you have the: CAI, CUSTOM TUNE, UD PULLEYS, E-FANS, SHIFT KIT, HEADERS and TB the next step will be gears

i installed the bbk tb without a new tune but my custom tune for my jlt intake was already fattening it up quite a bit and didnt notice any problems but when i went to vmp for a new tune he said the tb wouldnt make it lean(which i think is bull). low and behold it was lean with his tune VERY lean, he said that for some reason my jlt intake was more free flowing then the others for some reason, i kept suggesting it was the tb but he dissagreed but also disagreed. when i said it didnt sound right, like it sounded lean he said it was impossible for a tune to change the sound of an engine(BULL S***) so when i sent him a datalog he said it was way lean and to do another log to be sure, still lean he sent me another and said if it seamed lean still add 2-4% more fuel at wot

also the stock tb is 80mm at the top and 75 at the bottom, the bbk is 80mm straight through, the intake manifold is 75mm which if not ported to match the tb will do very little i suggest at least chamfering the edge so its not as abrupt, other wise it will whistle and people will think your turboed or supercharged. i ported mine out to 80mm and it added even more then the little i feel i gained with the tb

just my little BBK TB story
