Now I am really excited to get going on mine. Unfortunately I still have a payment on the truck, a mortgage, and now a wedding to plan for, but hopefully I'll get things going soon. I think it will come together nicely with the deep blue base setting. I haven't seen many of the deep blue metallic trucks blacked out.

I have the exact same chrome bars. How did yo go about getting them black?

Thanks! Ya I have been meaning to get rid of the FX4 decal but haven't gotten around to it, been too busy buying and doing the bigger costlier stuff :lol: I have been planning on doing something with the fogs and fender flares as well.

haha all the stuff you mentioned I have been seriously contemplating! Just gotta get time to do it. I want to do something about my fender flares, but not sure painting these ones is the answer for me...I hate the textured style. I want some smooth ones painted DSG. I also really want to do the fogs black but have heard its kind of a pain to tape off then there is problems with the chrome wanting to flake when u pull the tape back off....Oh how I envy those round fogs the newer models have. And for the badges, I really want to do the 09+ model badge conversion.
By the way I LOVE your truck, very tastefully done. I like those Rockstars on there, I contemplated getting those but decided to go with Moto Metals instead. Now you just need a black billet fuel door and some black tail lights. Also, would u be willing to part with those custom FX4 decals? :D

I bought the custom FX4 decals at Patriotdecals.com and they were $36 for the set. They will make them any color and you can have them say pretty much anything you want.

Is that the Cervini kit? Or at least the skirts and lower valence? It looks good, but I prefer a truck off the ground, not in it. It does look good though

Got it off ebay...its held up great and seems to be of pretty decent quality...

No Cervini kit, Truck is EC with 5.5 bed very rare and no one makes side skirts for it. Roush front valance. Here are some more pics.

PTM the grill surround and bumper white....bumpers and grill surround look better when they are ptm...then do all your other add ons black :thumbsup:

was there just that one color of white in the 97-03 year models? If so i could probaly find a grill surround off a F150 sport....

Probably. That would be a good idea. Look to see what you can find...You don't have to take my suggestion to heart. Just a suggestion based on my preference...but I do think it would look better that way than with the black bumpers and grill surround. IMO black bumpers on any color other than a black truck just looks like a stock cheap black bumper...PTM makes it look more custom :beers: then if you do all of your other addons in black(which u already have pretty much done) it will really look good!

Check out my truck at the top of page 26 on this thread for a visual reference....I think if the grill surround and bumpers were black it would look a bit odd. the PTM really makes it flow together IMO.

Thanks guys, think I am going to stay with the chrome bumpers though. I want to keep a little bit of chrome on, but very little. I am getting chrome F150 inlays for the badges soon. Ordered them today.

Do the PTM bumpers and leave the chrome headlights and grill surround. :thumbsup: No offense, just the chrome bumpers make it look a little awkward with all the other black out stuff.....Just my opinion though. Nice truck either way :rocker:

I've noticed quite of few of you have the headlights without any of the amber (orange) blinker plastic, did most of you paint yours and removed that piece, or did you order them that way? - thanks

Mine were painted by lordfeyr He has an ad in the classifieds on this forum. His paintwork is flawless. The only downside to mine is that they fog up periodically and I cant for the life of me keep them from doing it.

Blacked out for sure, but not a big fan of the front sitting higher than the rear. I see that pretty often and still can't adjust to it.

as much as I love black wheels I have to say that yours just don't look right....you need to paint the center caps black and get som aggresive tires or something...You got a nice truck don't get me wrong somthing just ain't right IMO

Not sure if you thought of keeping your stock wheels, but take a look at my album and you can see what I did for awhile before I bought aftermarket.

yeah I saw that.....that looks awesome. I have a set of 18" FX4 stockers that I am going to try to paint black when I have time. Since nobody wants to buy them. But those 20's look awesome.
